How to Prepare For Your Initial Consultation
In preparation for our first meeting, please take time to:
- Collect and record any ideas that you may have about your garden, including:
- how you use your outdoor spaces now and how you would like to use them in the future
- your likes/dislikes about the current space
- plants, colors, materials, furniture that you like/dislike
- others gardens, large or small, that you would like to emulate
- Discuss your ideas with your spouse, partner, children, others who use the space
- Look at pictures, then gather images that illustrate aspects of a landscape that appeal to you. These might be:
- snapshots from a vacation
- photos from a public garden or a friend's house
- books, magazines, catalogues, web photos
- Make a copy of the survey of your property, which you probably received when you purchased your home
